Are the great artists are supposed to have kids?
Everybody who is a fun of the talent of Zdzisław Beksiński or who appreciates a work of his son Tomasz has been waiting for this movie.
“Ostatnia rodzina”, the film even more interesting because based on true story, shows the life of three people: a submissive wife, an autistic husband and a son, who should be living rather in Neverland than the flat on the Ursynów. Generally speaking, the movie was a simple analysis of their toxic relationship.
Zdzisław Beksinski, considered as a genius, has never beaten his son. He has never hugged him as well, because each physic contact was disgusting to him. Moreover, he was absolutely devoted to his work and hasn’t enough time for a fatherhood. As a result, It was not possible to be a normal father.
The film starts when Tomek is 23 years old and they have just move in Warsaw. Of course, he is not glad about it.
As a spectator you should ask yourself a question: what is my purpose of going to cinema? Am I going to learn something or do I look for a pure entertainment? Personally speaking, I want to run away from a reality and experience an intellectual stimulation.
In this case, after watching the movie I want to understand the situation of this family. Are there any thin chances that Tomek would be someone normal if he has been born in another family? How much the education is important? Is he a genius thanks to his father or thanks to his hard work ?
And the most important question : Are the great artists are supposed to have kids?

Let's begin
An amazing song of the Hungarian composer Yonderboi says that:
"There is more harmony in films than in life: no traffic jams, no death periods. Films keep goin' on, you know, like trains in the night. People like you, like me are only happy in our work - making films..."
I want to create a blog not about the traffic jams of my life, but about the things that actually matter to me: films, books, music.
Let's begin our journey.
